Life Story for Armand Dennis McKissick Jr.

Armand Dennis McKissick, Jr. was born to Armand Dennis McKissick, Sr. and Marguerite McKissick Gohanna on February 19, 1972. He was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System and went on to continue his education at Burlington Community College where he maintained a 4.00 GPA and was scheduled to graduate with his Associates Degree in Visual Arts next May 2015. His ultimate goal was to work towards obtaining his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA).

“I struggle every day to escape from the box that the world tries to imprison me in, by creating art.” Armand aka “Thee Artist” was a self-taught Artist. He had been painting for over three decades expanding his portfolio into directions he never imagined. Creating unique paintings, sculptures, and large scale pieces of fine art. Armand had a studio in Philadelphia where he spent countless hours and days working on his masterpieces. He was a Product Designer & Illustrator and the proud owner of Armand McKissick Art Gallery.

Armand was the true meaning of son, father, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. Anything you ever needed he provided, he loved his family and made sure they all felt protected. He always saw the good in others and kept the peace within his family. He was a very mild mannered, soft spoken, free spirited and kind hearted soul. A First Class Act, always a gentlemen. Really… All he desperately wanted out of life, was to find someone to make him some macaroni & cheese or cheese eggs – his favorite foods.
