Obituary for Verna Mae Fagans (Fagans)

Verna Mae Fagans, daughter of Earlean Wynn and the Late Booker T. Wynn was born on October 15, 1944 in Williamston, North Carolina. Verna was educated in the Public School System of North Carolina.

She met and accepted Christ at a very early age. She was baptized and became a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. In the year of 1964 she joined Christlike Pleasant Green Faith Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Robert Small. She was a dedicated and faithful member until her death. She served as Supervisor of the youth for many years and she was a member of many auxiliaries.

. Her last job was taking care of her family. She was a loving daughter, mother, and friend. To know her was to really love her. She loved her life as well as having fun. She endeared herself to young and old alike. Her passion was cooking. Whatever you asked Verna for as far as cooking she did more than her just do.

Verna Mae loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her Mother Earlean Wynn; her children Ross (Regina) of Colorado Springs, Regina, Stephanie, and Tijja all of Philadelphia; Extended Children Jacqueline, Thomas and LaTonya, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of extended grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn Wynn and Diane Harvell, a host of extended sisters and brothers, and a host of nieces and nephews and other loving relatives and friends. She was also a part of the “Golden Girls” of Christlike.
