After leading a blessed life, and blessing many others, Ralph Charles Boyer,77, went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2020. He was born in Baltimore, Md. to the late Genevieve and Charles Boyer on November 22, 1942. In 1970, he married Rhonda Owens in Philadelphia, Pa.

He attended Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia where he was honored with awards for his artistic skills.
He went on to further his education at Temple University in Philadelphia where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology.
He was employed as a designer at National Designer Inc., in Philadelphia. He also worked at the Naval Air Engineering Center (NAEC), located in Lakehurst, N.J. as lead designer, where he was awarded recognition for one of his designs. In addition, he worked as a stress analysis engineer for Stone & Webster's Nuclear Division in N.J.
He closed out his career as a plant layout director at Lincoln University in Oxford, Pa.
Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was stationed in San Antonio, Tx.
He enjoyed being with friends in the North Philadelphia neighborhood he was raised in, and was much loved and respected by his friends and family. He always made time to visit friends in the hospital and those who were incarcerated. And he was always willing to help others.
He was also skilled in barbering/hair styling (processes) for the neighborhood. As a youth, he often had lines of customers leading out of his parents’ house waiting on his service.
He always enjoyed taking a break from the city life and spending time in the rural country in Peach Bottom, Pa, for family reunions during Rigby Day and family picnics with friends and relatives, including many who live in Lancaster, Pa.
He was an avid jazz fan and enjoyed attending jazz shows and festivals. In addition, he was very politically and socially active during turbulent times.
Ralph was always encouraging his younger sister and brothers as well as his step daughters to continue their education. He was also helpful in giving career advice to his younger siblings and step daughters to their benefit.
Left to cherish Ralph's memory is his sister Brenda, brothers Albert and Jerome, step-daughters Tina and Lorna, sisters-in-law Clara, Carol and Manderrean and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents Genevieve and Charles Boyer and siblings Carl, James (Larry), Melvin, Beatrice and Clarence.
